We started our final league game well on a beautiful evening in Caherciveen.
The hosts were organised and kept us at bay with lots of defenders. Captain Andrew O'Sullivan almost had Dylan McCarthy in but for super last ditch block. Jake Scannell & Rory Murphy combined well to set Jamie Downing up at the edge of the box but his effort just went over. Padraig O'Sullivan as usual kept finding midfielders playing out while defending well and Ryan Cronin's distribution was high quality. From a corner Iveragh scored a bullet header with their only shot on target of the match before HT.
2nd half our boys dominated further and Erik Dominguez equalised bravely in between keeper and centre back after sublime assist by Cillian Daly. Andrew Daly was in complete control with Jamie at the back as we pushed for the winner. Sam Fleury’s running pushed Iveragh’s defenders further back. Rowan Murphy's effort was clawed out of the top corner by Iveragh’s excellent keeper. Though the boys were frustrated we didn't score more they played well and credit to Iveragh.
