🙍♂️ Captain for the day Paul McGrath and JJ Lander's were handed the cup and a well deserved win
We met league champions iveragh in Tralee for the cup final .
Iveragh started by testing our defense with a few early free kicks into the box but no were handled well.
1st goal came when a Rowan Murphy 30 yard strike was parried into Sean Doyles path who finished it off .
Seans 2nd came after a shake of the hips by Dylan Mc Carthy left the defender for dead and an excellent cross was met by a bullet header at the back post by Sean Doyle.
We had the wind and created numerous chances but couldn't put them away.
Cillian Scannell was outstanding up front and linked up with whoever was around him all game and nearly had us 3 up at half time but the crossbar kept it at 2.
2nd half and with the wind and the excellent Kevin Foster Iveragh tested Rylan who stood strong at the front post.
Fionn Culloty who was MOTM in the semi came on again and did the business. A cracking top corner finish from a Mc Carthy cross .. 3-0
Iveragh broke and made it 3-1
Paul McGrath cracked the post after more great wing play from Mc Carthy. Iveragh hit the crossbar from 25 yards straight after.
Cillian Scannell then received the the ball 40 yards out and skipped past 4 players and finished into the corner...4-1
Iveragh then scored an indirect free kick inside the box 4-2 Iveragh got another from 30 yards to set up a nail-biting finish but we held out in the finish. 4-3
