👏 Well done to the Celtic U10 Hoop team, who won the Plate at the Aaron Powell Cup in St Brendan’s Park today.
The final ended in a 1–0 victory against Park, sealed by a superb team display and a last-minute save from goalkeeper Ollie Keogh, who was exceptional throughout the day. In defence, Omphile Schreurs and Paddy Lynch formed a solid partnership, providing a strong foundation for the team.
The forwards - Nathan Foley, Joseph Cronin and Dylan Cronin put in a real shift, defending from the front, the intensity of their pressing caused big problems for the opposing teams and resulted in a number of goals.
Aaron O’Callaghan was instrumental as always in central midfield, with non stop work rate and some important goals.
On the wings, James Keane and Conor Buckley delivered standout performances both in attack and defence, some of the dribbling on display was breathtaking. James scored several impressive goals, while Conor got a well deserved goal, netting the vital winner in the final against the hosts.
This win was a fitting reward for this young group of players who recently experienced the heartache of exiting the cup on penalties. Their commitment to attacking football, teamwork, and resilience was on full display and made for a great end to the season.
👏Thank you to all at st_brendans_park_fc for a great tournament.
👏Well done boys and management
